how_to_improve_your_credit_ratingNow that we have talked about how bad credit can affect your life and doing your research on your credit score, let’s go ahead and talk about how you can improve your credit score drastically.  While the first thing that you need to do is pull your credit report, the next thing is actually look at it and figure out where the debt that is holding you back is at.  This involves you actually doing some research.

Clearing up your debt if it is not too much money is a fantastic way to really clear your name and ensure that you get your credit back in good standing.  After your debt is all cleared up, make sure that you get a fresh and clean credit card – one that has a small balance.  That way you will be able to charge things on it and you will be able to actually pay it off every single month.

This will absolutely help you in the long run, as this will improve your life so much!  Mortgage lenders will be able to give you money and you will be able to buy your dream home!

If you have bad credit, don’t worry!  There are a ton of different ways that you can raise it up, you just need to learn how.  The first way is going to be checking out your credit score.  This is something that many people do not even know; much less know exactly what is in their credit report.

Now that we have talked about how your home can be freshened up by a coat of paint, let’s talk about the colors.  The color scheme, as I said before is something that is very, very important.  This is not only true on the outside of the house but also on the inside of the house.  You want something outside and in that is not only going to reflect yourself but you want something that is appealing to the buyers.

Doing colors is something that is tricky; however you could take a chance.  You want to make sure that whenever you are doing colors, they are not going to be too dark, that way if the new buyer wants to paint over them, they will have the option to do that.

Outside, the color scheme should be something fairly simple.  White and black are two colors that work really well together however you could go with a cream color if you wanted too.

Painting is a fantastic way to spruce up your house – whether you are doing it on the inside or the outside, you will truly find that giving your home a fresh coat of paint is a fantastic idea.  Now, whenever you are painting something, you want to make sure that you pick colors that are attractive … that is what we are going to talk about in the next blog.

Think about the unique things about your home and truly think about what your home has to offer over other homes.  For example, if you live in a really good neighborhood that has a fantastic school system, why not let the people know?  That is a great way to draw in the crowds.

The internet is a fantastic thing that you can use to truly get the word out there that you are having an open house and where.  Places like Craigslist.org and even the classifieds are fantastic to truly let the public know that you are having an open house.

You want to make sure that you use the free means of internet, that way you can make sure that you are not going over your budget on your advertising – that is something that every single real estate agent worries about, I know that.

AdvertisingIf there is one thing that I know about real estate, it is that if you are going to have an open house, it is very, very important that you advertise it.  There are so many times that a real estate agent, mainly the newer ones that will plan an open house and just put up a few open house signs and only a few prospective home buyers will show up – if this has happened to you more than once, it is time for you to switch up your style and that is exactly what we can help you with!

One of the first things that you need to learn is make sure that you place any open house signs on well-trafficked streets and ensure that the signs are getting the most exposure – that way, everyone can see that you are having an open house and they are welcome to stop by!

How You Can Purchase A Home After Foreclosure — Part 2

Foreclosure Now that we have talked about the time it takes for you to get a new home if you file for bankruptcy, it is now time for us to touch base on how you can get a new home for if you have foreclosed on your house.

If you had a foreclosure, you need to wait about three years from the date of the sheriff’s sale/auction or short sale on your previous property.  There is only one exception to the rule and that is what is called a ‘documented extenuating circumstances’, these include death, job loss or disability.  Even then, it is mostly at the lenders discretion.

It is obvious that if you have foreclosed on a home or went into bankruptcy, you are not going to have stellar credit – that is something that you want to work on.  You want to make sure that you get back into the perfect credit area – that includes paying your bills on time and making sure that your credit score stays between 620 and 740+.

foreclosurePurchasing a home in this day and age, having good credit is something that can truly help you not only get the home that you want, but also get the price that you want.  What happens if you want to buy a home after you have gone into bankruptcy or foreclosure though?  Well, there are some things that you can do – after all, everyone in the world should have a chance to buy a new home and that is what we are going to help you do!

One of the first things that you need to be is organized.  You want to make sure that you mark your calendar accordingly, that way you know exactly when you can start purchasing your new home.  If you have filed for Chapter 13, bankruptcy then after 1 year, you can get a new home.  If you have filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy, you can buy a new home after 2 years.
